Turning Drivers Into Action Figures

To celebrate the start of the 2023 Formula 1 season, I decided to use the power of generative artificial intelligence to create action figures of the drivers.

The response from the international F1 community was instant, with the most influential sports media and commentators talking about it on social media, and reaching close to 1 million organic impressions across Twitter, Instagram and Reddit.

The Other Stats of the World Cup

Although every statistic of the 2014 World Cup matches in Brazil was instantly shared around the globe, the media turned a blind eye to the protests taking place immediately outside the stadiums, where Brazilians were demonstrating against the violence, forced relocations, and wasteful public spending of the billion-dollar event.

To bring attention to the protests, we created a visual newsfeed that contrasted daily stats from the soccer matches with demonstrations in the streets: player injuries vs. injured activists; red cards vs. police arrests; stadium attendance vs. protest attendance; etc.

INTERNET FREEDOM FESTIVAL

Joining Forces to Fight Censorship and Surveillance

I co-founded and served as the Executive and Creative Director of the Internet Freedom Festival, a pioneering nonprofit that created the first global network for digital rights and is now present in more than 140 countries. The IFF was funded by the US State Department and Open Tech Fund, with the support of Open Society Foundations, Ford Foundation, Mozilla, Twitter, Meta, Google, and the Media Democracy Fund.
